About Me

Melody Cook, RN, BS, RMT has been a Texas-registered massage therapist (#2954) and a certified prenatal and postpartum therapist since 1989, and is a certified infant massage instructor.  She is registered with the state of Texas and trained and certified in various modalities, including 111 hours in pregnancy and postpartum massage, and 117 hours in neuromuscular therapy (St. John method).  

She developed the "Supporting Birth Through Massage" class and teaches it privately and through childbirth and parenting organizations.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University, and is a member of the following organizations:

She is the mother of two daughters, ages 19 and 24, and is continually pursuing further education in the health sciences. She is currently practicing massage therapy part time, and is a full-time operating room nurse at a major metroplex hospital.
